Turkey for me, turkey for you. I like my turkey in a big brown shoe.
We'll be heading down to visit my family in Escondido for Thanksgiving, and while we're down there, we'll be meeting with several wedding photographers.
You may have noticed, the site is redesigned again... I know, I know, but this is my job. It's what I do.
This design is a bit cleaner and more refined. It also will tie in a bit better with the invitations and other stationary as we start designing those. Also as I was reworking the design, I noticed a script-kiddie compromised the site. I won't give him the benefit of calling him a hacker, as it was a pretty pathetic attempt and it was obvious he couldn't do anything more than run some basic tools other people had created. That should teach me to remember to apply security patches though.
Today was another long day. We got down the first few rows of exposed brick for the barbecue we are building. Once we got a rhythm going and had the technique figured out, it actually started going quite fast. Unfortunately we had to stop at about 2:30 for a family birthday get together. While the party was fun, and a great chance to see people, it did slow things down a bit on the construction front. Tomorrow we'll be at it again and hope to get a significant chunk of the brickwork done. The grill itself is in the garage waiting installation.
If you've been to the site before this, you may have noticed a bit of a change. It turns out the design concept I was working with didn't make itself aparent on smaller resolution screens (although I did make sure the content actually fit for those with lower resolution). I've tweaked and updated the design to better express the concept of the brown and blue bars. My next addition will be a menu system so we can expand the site beyond just the frontpage blog.
